The L Dorado is one of our older designs. It was taken out of the catalog but is now available through the web site. Where there were originally patterns for the fins and carling, these pieces must be made using dimensions on the drawings. All frames, stem, transom, and breasthook are still patterned.

Here are the photos of the L.Dorado. I found only one slide of the one I built in 1958. This is me and the boat in about 1958.

The new one performs beautifully, runs smooth and flat. The tail fins came out good. I built the outside one first, then made a pattern of it. I put too much crown in the deck (6"), it should be 4".
