The stiffener on the sheer was needed because of a warp that just appeared. The sheers are scarfed to achieve the 16' length needed. The warping happened on one side only.
The chines are one piece of really good Honduran mahogany, planed down to shape.
Since I have a lot of it, I used mahogany to back up the butt joints on the side planks.
