Subject: Completed St. Pierre Dory photos

Hi all,
Attached photos of dory I completed and launched on July 1st. Sold charter boats for health reasons and wanted something very economical but fun to knock about in by myself rather than going nuts ashore.

Took me 15 months time working 3 to 4 hours a day. Used southern yellow pine for frames and mahogany for longitudinal stringers. MDO signboard plywood for planking. Covered with epoxy via West system and interior saturated with penetrating epoxy. Powered with 1 cyl. Bukh diesel of 10 hp turning 3000 max through 2/1 reduction. Speed at 2300 cruise 6 mph. Have chart gps, bottom machine and autopilot and using to fish the Gulf of Mexico at a leisurely pace. Will cruise some next summer. No major problems building. Fun boat that really gets a lot of comments and turns heads.

Complete pics of construction progress can be seen at my website: http://www.onthegulf.com

Thanks for the good plans and source of supplies and hardware.
