Well it's been awhile since I updated you on the little PeeWee project.

I finally was able to get the chine logs in place due to your helpful suggestions Barry. Laminating was definitely the way to go.

So, that done in late January, my dear wife decided she wanted to do "little remodeling" on the house.

Here it is August and I think we are finished with the current round of rebuilding.

Attached are the pictures showing the current stage of the project. Sides are on, Epoxies and screwed. Fairing completed and the bottom panels are cut out and ready to be applied.

I did get one opportunity for some other boat building education in April. The University of Arkansas Extension service sponsored a canoe building class one weekend in which all the students were families and built a 15 1/2' wooden canoe together. Most of them had never done such a project before... Me included. The kits were precut by the U of A staff and we did the rest. The best part for me was learning "new" Epoxy techniques. What an eye opener for me. It is really helping to speed the project.

One other thing I have found, is that I enjoy this boat building project.
