Feedback: Pot Luck

Here are some additional photos of when I turned the boat over. This was the one point in the construction I worried about. It was much easier than I anticipated.

As you can see from the photos I used two gin-poles with a chain hoist attached to each.

Each pole was an 8"X8" timber, 16 ft long, and buried about one and a half feet into the ground.

Each chain hoist was rated at 2 tons. The guy wires were 5/8", no stretch, nylon rope anchored into the ground with deadmen.

If you look at the ground in the photos you will see a line attached near the gunwale closest to the ground, one running to each side, these were used to control the boat as it was turned.
