Hi, as you can see by the pictures I just finished building your St Pierre Dory.During construction I decided not to go with the optional skeg/deadwood, but now I am thinking about adding some ballast to stiffing her up a little.What do you think about a small skeg,about 3 inches wide and 8 to 12 inches deep and about 6 or 7 feet long between frame # 6 and # 3 { not unlike a sail boats centerboard } with some ballast bolted on?
